Why does Toyota run an older Lexus model with IMSA? It still wins.
“We are meticulous in how we bring things to market. We want the [new GT3] car tomorrow. But, we’re taking our time.” In the mean time, the Lexus RC F continues to shine in IMSA. “We’re earning the respect,,” said Wilson. “It’s got other GT3 owners coming to us asking if they can run our car next year. We’d love to say yes.
FM Car of Tomorrow wing mounts - Grassroots Motorsports
The mounts are made from 1/8" aluminum. 10 holes need to be drilled in the car for installation. The wing angle is set with a series of bolt holes. This allows for rapid adjustment and consistent settings - there`s no need to use an angle finder. The wing can be set in 1.0 degree increments.

Living with a 1987 Mercedes 190D TURBO DIESEL....
Living with a 1987 Mercedes 190D TURBO DIESEL.... In keeping with GRM tradition, I reckon I need to start a build thread before I actually own the car. Tomorrow at high noon I will actually be the owner of this fine German automobile. Anyway, I did spend an hour this afternoon looking over the car.

It's finally bolted, there is just shy of 1/8" clearance under the flywheel cover and I will no doubt enjoy the amazing handling improvements now that the engine is sitting so much lower. For sure I'll enjoy being able to close the deck lid. mke Dork. 9/7/24 10:43 p.m. It's just going slow this time.
How are you celebrating “National Name Your Car Day?”
The National Day Calendar says that the best way to observe the holiday is to do the following: Pick out a name for your car, if you haven't already. Show pictures of your jalopy with that new name on a sign placard for all to see. Tell the story behind your car's name. Take your Betsy, Arnold, Chuck, or Delores out for a spin.
Quick question about car titles (buying in NC, bringing back to ...
In any case I have a dentist's appointment tomorrow so will swing by the DMV and see what happens. Since I don't plan to drive the car until I rebuild it (spring at the earliest) it's no big rush and the seller seems trustworthy to me so I won't mind mailing the title to him (or having my brother who lives near him take it to him.

Love at First Drive: The SCCA Club Spec Mustang class
9/4/24 8:52 p.m. In reply to Racebrick : We are reliving the golden age of when people drive their cars to events. When I got involved with stage rally back in the early 90s the old timers spoke of the days when you drove your rally car to events and then to work on Monday. rickbeen New Reader. 9/4/24 11:45 p.m.
Fiero notchback rear aero (NASCAR COT wing) - Grassroots Motorsports
Buttonwillow was fine with a loose car, but the walls at Fontana are less forgiving. I purchased a Nascar Car of Tomorrow (COT) wing from Ebay (see earlier discussion). This is a carbon fiber wing made by Crawford Composites. It has a 54" span without the endplates. The COT wings were $3000 new, but can be found secondhand for $500 to $1000.
